About JMET

Japan Muslim Education Trust (JMET) was established as a non-profit organization (NPO) to preserve the Islamic identity of the Muslim community in Japan and ensure access to high-quality, values-based education.

JMET’s goal is to establish a comprehensive Islamic school where our children can grow up in an Islamic environment while receiving modern, international, and high-quality education.

What We Want for Our Children

  1. Preserve their Muslim identity, faith, and good character.
  2. Receive modern, high-quality education in English.
  3. Learn the Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic values.
  4. Develop a strong understanding of the Japanese language and society.
  5. Grow into responsible, educated, and good individuals who can contribute positively to Japan and the world.

In 2026, JMET acquired Tokyo Iqra International School, marking the beginning of a new phase of development. Our aim is to further strengthen the school, improve its educational quality, and develop the infrastructure needed to build a strong Islamic international school for generations to come.
